Lymph Drainage Therapy
The body’s lymphatic system is a network of vessels and nodes that is very extensive and complex. It helps circulate fluids, proteins, and immune cells throughout the body, plus eliminate toxins and waste products. These contractions allow the transport of numerous substances (proteins, toxins, hormones, fatty acids, immune cells) to the lymph nodes, which can then process them. The action of these muscular units can be hindered or stopped due to surgery, trauma, burns, infections, substantial swelling, fatigue, stress or age. This may open the way to many physical ailments and the aging process. In essence, Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT) works to help recirculate body fluids, stimulate functioning of the immune system and balance the autonomic nervous system. Making it a perfect adjunct to other Wellness Programs for Preventative health and Wellbeing.
This is a gentle rhythmic hands-on method of lymphatic drainage that combines anatomy and direct listening techniques to feel your own specific rhythm, direction of fluid flow, depth and quality of your lymphatic flow. By Lymphatic Mapping your superficial and deep direction of flow, your balancing process can also be monitored. LDT incorporates other advanced skills to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the techniques. Due to our Mind/Body responses this action induces deep states of relaxation.
LDT has been shown to aid in the absorption of toxins; assist the body in deep cleansing: stimulate fluid circulation and the work of the immune system: absorb fat molecules: and provide antispastic actions.
Reasons:
Pre and Post Surgery
Lymphatic Drainage offers a myriad of benefits. For optimal results, it is recommended that lymphatic drainage be applied for one or two sessions prior to surgery; for draining toxins and stimulating the immune system and the autonomic nervous system (the parasympathetic tone). It is important to drain and stimulate the lymphatic system before it is inhibited, and possibly spasm, due to the trauma and the medication used in surgery. After surgery the lymphatic pathways will be very different, as it begins body repair and regeneration…An important time to propel healing for post-surgery recuperation.
Stress / Pain Relief
The stimulation, slight stretching motion on specific lymph structures, the lymphangions, tends to increase the parasympathetic and diminish the sympathetic tone, the fight” or “flight” response. This can be very helpful with stress, depression or sleeping disorders. LDT alleviates fluid stagnation that may inhibit nociceptors. It can be effective in dealing with some kinds of chronic pain, and therapy can be applied for those whose conditions have difficulty with touch such as Raynaud’s and associated conditions. Reduce Muscle spasms. And Fibromyalgia.
Proactive Well Being
LDT techniques have been found to help with chronic or subacute inflammatory processes, for example, bronchitis, sinusitis, amygdalitis, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, acne and eczema, and environmental exposures.

Lymph Therapy
The body’s lymphatic system is very extensive and complex. It helps circulate fluids, proteins, and immune cells throughout the body, plus eliminate toxins and waste products. Unlike the circulatory system that has the heart as a pump to circulate blood flow, the lymph vessels rely on hundreds of tiny muscular units (lymphangions) contracting throughout the body to propel lymph flow (Mislin 196). These contractions allow the transport of numerous substances i.e. (proteins, toxins, hormones, fatty acids, immune cells) to the lymph nodes, which can then process them. Making it a perfect adjunct to other Wellness Programs for Preventative and Wellbeing.

Brain Therapy
Consider ‘All things Brain’ for whole body well being.
The coupling of Lymph Drainage Therapy with Brain therapy has had tremendous proving ground in the last decades with soldiers returning home with head and brain injuries sustained during their tours. This advanced therapy has been documented in assistance with soldiers’ care through complications in healing and Post traumatic stress syndrome as Complementary Care – among other brain pathologies and injuries in general.
Our Brain Therapy is an advanced therapy taught exclusively through Chikly Health Institute, developed by Dr. Bruno Chikly. This hands-on therapy is very relaxing and gentle with powerful benefits. It bypasses reflex points and gets straight to the ‘control center’ by addressing specific brain structures, Nuclei and different facets of the Central Nervous system. Multiple techniques are used that enhance communication and function of the Brain/Nervous System to related body functions, that can change patterns of pain, stress, dysfunction, brain fog, injury, whiplash and concussions to list a few. In synchronizing brain hemispheres and enhancing cerebrospinal fluid, many other related subtle symptoms can shift for a greater sense of well-being.
This can be a significant therapy for people of all ages, and all walks of life; from infants to elderly, birthing experiences to an accumulative lifetime – of Injuries, Accidents, Traumas, Environmental exposures and Allergies. Clients are thrilled with mental clarity, relieved stress, improved coordination in sports and more.
Restrictions from impacts or injuries incurred through accidents, and even a fall, that without proper treatment create tension that can pull into the abdominopelvic viscera, knees or even the ankles. This compensation can become visible over a period of time in our posture or in painful conditions. Think of a large spider web, it can be 3 dimensional, its tensile strength the same weight as steel, and yet when you pull on it, the whole structure will be pulled or move with the tension. Our body is so interconnected we are like a web of a continuous single structure.
These nervous system problems are often not obvious to therapists untrained in this modality, and could be a little-known reason why some treatments do not stay in place.
“Your central nervous system,(CNS) [which includes your brain and heart] controls most functions in the body and produces numerous chemicals that interact with whole body consciousness. The brain is an “intelligent” tissue that responds to subtle information communicated through specialized, trained touch. The brain also has an enormous capacity for plasticity. “Plasticity” is a term used by neuroscientists, referring to the brain’s ability to change at any age. A few areas of the brain even produce new brain cells every day (neoneurogenesis).”
